It keeps the comparison fairer. These clubs meet in the same continental competitions, so the table is not mixing very different domestic schedules into one ranking.

Updates appear after the match data has been processed. There may be a short delay after full time before the table changes.

Why is my club missing or marked unranked?

A club may be missing if it has not played in the covered competitions yet. If it has been inactive for a long time, it can be shown as unranked until there is enough recent match data again.

Which ranking should I use?

Use beyondELO when you want the site’s main club rating. Use FIFA SUM when you want a second view to compare against it.

Why do the two rankings disagree?

They are meant to show different views of the same club pool. If two systems value matches differently, the order can change.

Yes. The site is built so more ranking methods can be added without removing beyondELO or FIFA SUM.

Does playing at home help a club’s rating calculation?

Yes. A home match gives the home club an advantage in the prediction unless the match is at a neutral venue. That means a home win is a little more expected than the same win away from home.

Why does one club gain more points than another from the same match?

The model is more cautious with clubs it knows well and quicker to adjust clubs with less recent evidence. That is why two teams in the same match do not always move by the same number of points.

What happens if a club has not played for months?

The rating becomes less certain while the club is inactive. When it returns, the model can move it more quickly until the rating settles again.
